I have one query regarding software update management , usually office updates and OS (windows 7) updates are not clubbed together, like there must be a separate update list for both and separate packages and like wise . and i guess these are also best practices to keep them segregated . Now my question is that my management wants to create a separate pkgs for both(office and win 7 updates) but to keep single update list for them and a single deployment management . But as per my knowledge , this is not the best practise also it may involve some complex operations during monitoring .
So please help me out in this by providing your valuable advise and if I go with single DM option will it make moitoring easy.
