I have a couple questions regarding patching. If anyone could answer would be appreciated
I wanted to get some more information regarding windows patching using sccm 2007. Basically what does sccm use to connect to machine and deploy windows patches (guid, uuid, smbios serial number), Or does the system check into sccm 2007 server for any windows patches available and install?
If auto discovery is enabled and a server has bios serial number is xzy but later it changes to abc. Will there be 2 entries in SCCM?
If this is the case would this effect windows patching. I know it would effect pxe boot.
