Software updates in OSD

Is it possible to advertise a large list of updates for OSD deployment in Config Mgr and have the updates pull from the existing Update lists already available to the site...

Scenario

We have our update lists (1 per month) and an OSD update list (Cumulative) that we would like to advertise to the OSD collection.  When I try to advertise the list to a collection it prompts for a single Deployment package to either be assigned or created.  Because the list is cumulative I hesitate to build a package that would be so large in size especially when all of the other packages already contain that info.
