This one has been bugging me for over a week, and I cannot seem to see my way past it. I have just started to deploy Software updates, making my lists and prepping them for deployment management and packages...
My environment is set up in a 3 forest configuration, with 2 way trusts between the central forest and each of the 2 daughter forests. Our SCCM follows the same architecture with a Central Site and 2 daughter sites, Branch and Backend.
I got the WSUS set up and syncing with Microsoft Update, started creating my lists when I noticed this little problem.
almost all of my servers are in the Unknown column... and as a result, as I have found, you cannot deploy updates to those machines. I have attempted to make all of the machines report to WSUS, thinking that was the issue, only one machine has reported to WSUS (Looking at my other environment, none of the machines report to WSUS at all and I dont have the problem above)
This entire environment has been rebuilt once because of failure of both of my root DC's at once (and corresponding complete rebuild of my SCCM, SQL and all that jazz)
What can I o to get my Unknown machines into the other columns so I can begin deploying updates? I am out of ideas.
