I've been looking for the answer to this but only found something referencing 2012, not 2007 clients.
If the ccm cache is set to default (5gb) and a Software Updates deployment package is, say, 6+gb what happens? Does it fill the cache and then that's it? According to this post for 2012 (http://blogs.technet.com/b/manageabilityguys/archive/2013/05/07/configmgr-2012-client-cache-part-1-overview.aspx) the cache is not restricted
"Software updates also use the client cache, but software updates are NOT restricted by the cache size and will always attempt to download to the cache.."
..but what about 2007 clients? Same deal?
