We recently had to rebuild our top level SCCM server, the one that is the parent WSUS server for the enterprise. Since that server was rebuilt, all downstream WSUS servers are syncing fine but a large number of clients are reporting "Scan is waiting for content".
We have found with one site that disconnecting it from the hierarchy and waiting until the objreplmgr.log shows completion of the removal of parent site objects, then reconnecting the site fixed the problem.
In another test, reinstallation of the client seemed to fix the problem.
Do we have any idea what causes this message and the best way to fix it? I realize this might be a PSS question but I thought I'd ask here first.
