I'm trying to go back and clean up our old Software Updates deployments, which have been left untouched since they were created. I'm going to aggregate them into yearly deployments and delete the old deployments. I'm trying to see what patches need to be included but it's not as obvious as I expected.
For example, KB2419640 (MS11-002). This patch is not superseded or expired, but yet shows zero for both required and installed. Why? It's a security update for Windows 7 which is our OS base. If it's not required then why isn't it expired? If it's included in a later rollup then it should be superseded. I don't get it, what am I missing?
I guess I should just go ahead include it, but it seems like a waste.
