"Update already available, just resolve properties"

(I'm running SCCM 2007 R3 sp2)

This month I added the new updates to my Windows Server 2008 R2 64x list  and package.

The list updated and so did the package on all of its distribution points.

No errors no problems so far.

I created a new software deployment from my list set the current date and time then set a deadline for a few minutes in the future and pointed it to my testing collection of Windows 2008 R2 64bit servers.

Never got an update notification.

I've confirmed that my servers need seven of the total 90 updates.

Wuahandler.log lists each new updates as "Update (Missing)"

(I also ran Microsoft updates and let it scan my server to confirm that it does need the new updates.)

I can't find any errors on my update testing servers.

Something strange in the updatesdeployment.log, after turning on verbose logging and debugging:

"Update already available, just resolve properties"

This repeats several times.

I haven't been able to find anything at all on this log entry.

I uninstalled a previously deployed update from each of my three test servers.

(The update was part of a different deployment with a different package of older Server 2008 R2 x64 updates. The deployment had reached its deadline and successfully run.)

After running the "Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle" , each of the servers got an update notification, and the missing update got successfully reinstalled."

I tried throwing away everything and running a new list/package/freshly downloaded source files and distribution: With no success and the usual log line:

"Update already available, just resolve properties"

I access my test servers with mstsc /admin.

The global setting for: "Hide all deployments from end users" is not checked.

The "Allow display notification on clients" is checked on the deployment.

I've tried un checking it waiting and then rechecking it as someone suggested.

Any help or redirection would be great.
