I started a patch deployment during the day with both an Available time and Deadline time of 11:30PM last night.
About 4:00AM I woke up thinking I needed to stop deployment, so I found the TechNet article, How to Disable a Software Update Deployment, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb680684.aspx .
So, I did as the article said and changed the deployment to target an empty collection. Unfortunately, this did not work!
When our laptop users came in they still got the patch deployment. What did I miss? The change was so easy, I guess it was too good to be true.
What is the best way to DISABLE/STOP/KILL a Software Updates Deployment on machines that may have already received the policy?
Thanks,
Mike
